This time last year we were in Iceland. The beauty This time last year we were in Iceland. The beauty is endless over there. One of the best things to do when you go over there is take advantage of the swimming pools. They are all geothermal, meaning naturally heated. Fun facts: you have to shower naked before you put your swimsuit on and get in, and pools are a common gathering place to meet up with friends after work! ⁣
Top swimming spots: ⁣
- blue lagoon: over priced but worth it if you are going to go to Iceland only once and you won't regret it! ⁣
- laugarvatn fontana: near the geysir, this is a great spot to see the sun set (swipe for pic!)⁣
- the secrete lagoon: on our list for next time!
Big Bend has 200 miles of trails. We can't wait to Big Bend has 200 miles of trails. We can't wait to spend more time there. One of the trails which was along the Terlingua Creek was the Santa Elena trail. The trail starts with a low impact climb to a vista, and then back down to the creek. You can even wade in the creek and several people were barefoot walking through further down the creek.
I cannot wait to get back to Big Bend! Living on t I cannot wait to get back to Big Bend! Living on the opposite end of the state though makes it a big project to plan a trip down. We split our drive into two legs, stopping over in Midland to break up the drive. The expanse and space grows the further south you get, and then you see big bend and its just breathtaking. Whats the longest road trip you've been on?

Did you know that you can get into Mexico through Did you know that you can get into Mexico through Big Bend National Park? Swipe --> to see the little boat that you can ride into Boquillas. This town is so cute, and its businesses surround people coming in through the border. They have restaurants and lots of locally made souvenirs to purchase (where vic got her cute hat!)

Things to know:
1. you need a passport to get back through the border
2. bring cash: tip the boat driver, the tour guide, or the people manning the donkeys or cars you can ride into town - this money is what drives the people of the town so it is worth while!
3. check the park website to ensure that the port of entry is open.
